SAFETY MEASURES

The Department has prescribed a maximum speed limit of the buses at 30 KMs. for Hill and 60 KMs. for Plain Sectors respectively. And prevention of alcohol/intoxicant abuse by crews with Breath Analyser or Alcohol Detector by Enforcement officials/personnel.
GPS Vehicle Tracking System (VTS) have been installed in the buses to monitor the movement of the buses, stoppage, speed, travel time etc. and to ensure safe operation of the services and for timely rescue & maintenance.
The Department implement the Government policy of ‘No Fault Liability’ under which, in times of unfortunate accidents, immediate relief is extended to effected passenger and next of kin:
- Death – ₹ 50,000.00
- Serious Injury – ₹ 25,000.00
- Minor Injury – ₹ 10,000.00
