In order to check malpractices of pilferage of revenue earning, misbehaviour etc. by crews and staff, the Enforcement cell attached to the Directorate as well as to Divisional Office and Stations, conduct routine and surprise checking from time to time to ensure that the passengers travel with valid tickets and wayside revenue earning are properly accounted for. The Enforcement personnel are authorised to take on-the-spot action on the passengers traveling without tickets by issuing Passenger Excess Fare Ticket (PEFT) and impose fine as the case may be, under the provision of M.V. Act.
Action is also initiated against the errant crews involved in pilferage of Government Revenue for not issuing tickets to the wayside passengers, improper behaviour etc. The cell also acts as the vigilance of the Department for irregularities, prevention of alcohol/intoxicant abuse by crews on duty.
