The Central Workshop located at Dimapur near the Tragopan Hotel, is headed by an Additional Chief Engineer (Automobile) and assisted by 1(one) Senior Automobile Engineer, 2(two) Automobile Engineers, and 2(two) Junior Engineers where major repair and maintenance of the buses including overhauling of engine, gearbox, fuel pump etc. are carried out Departmentally within the available infrastructure.
It also takes up jobs for sheet metal works, repair/renovation of bus body and tyre retreading is done at the Departmental Tyre Retreading Plant at Central workshop.
